Roman blinds can be installed quickly and easily. The set contains basically all you need. Additionally, you will have to bring a drill, a screwdriver and optionally a ladder.
You can attach the blinds either to the window sash or to the wall.
If you want to attach the blinds to the window sash, remember that once you uncover the window, the rolled-up fabric will form a “package” which will always cover some part of the window. For example, in the case of 120 cm long Roman blinds, this package will be approx. 30 cm long.
If you attach the blinds to the wall in order to cover the window recess, remember that the “package” will be formed when the fabric is rolled up.
Such a package have to fit above the window recess so as to allow you to open the window sash. Depending on the height of the blinds, such a package will be approx. 30–40 cm long.
The rail of Roman blinds is installed on special “twist” hooks. The hooks can be screwed to the wall or the window sash. Once they are installed, fit the rail in them. Now, the roller blinds should be hanging! This is a simple and easy solution.
